About the position
The University of Kansas Health System, Olathe Campus, Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology, is seeking a Gastroenterologist faculty member to join its dynamic and well-established GI team dedicated to providing comprehensive gastroenterology care.
The candidate should be fellowship‑trained, board certified or equivalent, and eligible for licensure in Kansas. We consider new graduate GIs. We offer a competitive compensation and benefits package and opportunities for professional growth.
Responsibilities- Full spectrum of general gastroenterology, including upper and lower endoscopy procedures; combined clinic and hospital‑based practice, and hospital call rotation to cover inpatient and ED consults. Training and experience with gastrointestinal bleeding; esophageal disorders; inflammatory bowel disease; and gastrointestinal cancers. Preferred skills, but not required: ERCP and EUS.
- Serve as a clinical educator to GI fellows, residents, and medical students.
- Gastroenterology team comprised of 18 GI faculty, 7 transplant hepatologists (10 total hepatology faculty), 3 IBD faculty and 21 APPs.
- Average daily census is 25.
- Endoscopy suites (main campus‑6 and ASC/other outpatient center‑4 with expansion we will have additional rooms).
