Overview
Position Title:
Physician - Gastroenterologist, Olathe Medical Pavilion B
The University of Kansas Health System, Olathe Campus, Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology, is seeking a Gastroenterologist faculty member to join its GI team in a reputable healthcare facility dedicated to providing comprehensive gastroenterology care. The team currently includes 4 General Gastroenterologists and 2 Advanced Practice Providers (APPs).
This opportunity offers a state-of-the-art facility with advanced equipment and a collaborative team environment. The successful candidate will provide exceptional gastroenterology care and contribute to the growth of the institution.
The candidate should be fellowship-trained, board-certified or equivalent, and eligible for licensure in Kansas. A competitive compensation and benefits package is offered, with opportunities for professional growth. New graduate GIs will be considered.
About the position:
- Full spectrum of general gastroenterology, including upper and lower endoscopy procedures; combined clinic and hospital-based practice; and hospital call rotation to cover inpatient and ED consults. Training and experience with gastrointestinal bleeding; esophageal disorders; inflammatory bowel disease; and gastrointestinal cancers. Preferred skills, but not required: ERCP and EUS.
- Serve as a clinical educator to GI fellows, residents, and medical students.
- Gastroenterology team comprised of 18 GI faculty, 7 Transplant Hepatologists (10 total Hepatology Faculty), 3 IBD Faculty, and 21 APPs.
- Average daily census is 25.
- Endoscopy suites: main campus 6 and ASC/other outpatient center 4; expansion planned with additional rooms.
