The Heavy Equipment Operator is responsible for operating company-owned machinery in a safe and effective manner. They must be able to demonstrate safe operation of the assigned equipment. Operator is expected to use his/her experience and judgment to make decisions considering safety and efficiency.
Duties:- Ensure all safety requirements and codes are implemented and met by all team members
- Ensure that proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed
- Understand means and methods to safely perform assigned tasks
- Understand and ensure the safety of team members
- Monitor and track field data as requested by the superintendent
- Maintain required daily paperwork
- Operate heavy equipment.
- Operate heavy equipment in a safe and appropriate manner to minimize the risk of injury, property damage, or loss of life in accordance with company policies and procedures
- Perform daily pre-inspections: identify problems or defects that need to be corrected, and report problems or defects immediately
- Heavy Equipment includes (but is not limited to):
Excavator, Dozer, Off‑Road Truck, Motor Grader, Backhoe, Roller, Reclaimer
- Hourly position based on experience: $16.00- $25.00 per hour depending on experience
- Medical benefits available after 60 days of full‑time employment
- Supplemental benefits available after 60 days of full‑time employment
- 401K with company match plan after 1 year of full‑time employment
- Life Insurance and Disability of $25,000 paid by company
- High School Diploma / GED (Preferred)
- OSHA 10 or 30 (Preferred)
- CPR / First Aid Training (Preferred)
