Summary

The Camp Victory Summer Staff are team members of the Camp Victory team for their summer programs. Camp Victory is located in Mannford, Oklahoma. Camp Victory is a place where campers have the opportunity to pull out of their everyday lives, put away any distractions, and experience God’s presence unencumbered. Summer Staff members are responsible for assisting and participating in the following duties: supervising campers, administering behavior protocols, administering all medical protocols (CPR, etc.),

providing verbal and physical assistance, and completing all other tasks as directed. A primary function at Camp Victory is to ensure that each member, guest, and visitor receives the highest caliber of service and the love of Jesus.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assists and operates activities for groups:
    Go Cars, Bumper Cars, Zip‑Line, Horseback Riding, Laser Tag, Archery, Canoes, Snack Shack, and lifeguard/swimming duties at the pool and Lake Victory lake inflatables (requires 5 certified lifeguards).
  • Assists in the care, cleanliness, and security of the facility used by campers during the program.
  • Monitors and helps to ensure the safety and welfare of the children, exhibiting proficiency and professionalism in all safety, health, and emergency policies.
  • Treats all children, families, and staff members with respect and dignity, allowing for individual differences.
  • Maintains appropriate communication with staff, children, and families in a warm and professional manner.
  • Reports all accidents or unusual incidents to the Camp Director and/or medical personnel.
  • Establishes good rapport with pastors, directors, and leaders of the program, keeping them informed about concerns affecting the campers.
  • Participates in all required trainings and certifications in compliance with the organization’s standards.
  • Creates a nurturing, positive, and professional environment while promoting program policies and procedures among staff, volunteers, and community.
  • Must adhere to camp dress code and uniforms (provided).

  • Must be 18 years old or older.
  • Ability to work in a team environment, contributing as a team member and treating co‑workers, subordinates, and customers with respect.
  • Ability to motivate children and maintain a positive atmosphere.
  • Ability to understand and follow specific instructions and procedures.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to provide a supportive and caring environment for all campers and families.
Essential Job Functions

Physical Requirements
  • Physical exertion such as standing, bending, stooping, crouching, lifting, and reaching; walking a short to long distance on moderately to extreme steep terrain.
  • Lift and carry up to 25 pounds and, in case of emergency, a 40‑pound child.
  • Manual dexterity with the use of hands and fingers to feel objects, tools, and controls.
  • Visual acuity with color, peripheral, near, and far vision.
  • Hearing and deiscing.
  • Excellent English communication skills.
  • Majority of work time outdoors in extreme heat and occasionally indoors in climate‑controlled buildings.
  • Willingness to live in a camp setting, work irregular hours with limited or simple equipment and facilities; exposure to sun, heat, bugs, and animals natural to a forest setting.
