Heavy Equipment Mechanic, Diesel Mechanic
Responsibilities
Diesel Mechanic/Technician is responsible for maintenance and repairs to our company-owned heavy equipment fleet and trucks. This can include cleaning, maintenance, visual inspection, and removal of parts and attachments as needed. Installation with the help of proper manuals, report writing, disassembly, assembly, parts reuse evaluation, and reconditioning.
Qualifications- Knowledge of equipment and ability to diagnose issues
- Tools as required to complete equipment repairs and diagnostics
- Travel required – home weekends
- Troubleshooting skills for diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical
- Willing to work overtime
- CDL is preferred, but not required
- Reliable transportation to and from work
- Take initiative to perform tasks
- Maintain equipment and components
- OSHA Health & Safety rules compliance
- Welding experience is preferred, but not required
- Able to keep shop area presentable
- A/C, Brake, & DOT Annual Inspector Certifications preferred, but not required
- Minimum 3 years experience or vocational graduate
- Paid weekly
