Roles and Responsibilities of a Foreman (Joinery): 1. Supervision & Coordination:
- Oversee joinery projects and ensure work is completed as per design and specifications.
- Allocate tasks to carpenters and workers, ensuring efficient workflow.
- Monitor the progress of work and ensure timely completion of projects.
- Inspect finished joinery work to ensure it meets quality standards.
- Ensure proper finishing, fitting, and alignment of woodwork.
- Identify defects and ensure corrections are made.
- Ensure proper handling and usage of tools, machines, and equipment.
- Coordinate material requirements and ensure availability on-site.
- Minimize material wastage and ensure cost-effective usage.
- Ensure all safety guidelines are followed on-site.
- Conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings for workers.
- Report hazards or unsafe conditions to management.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other site teams.
- Report daily progress, work challenges, and material needs.
- Maintain proper documentation and records of work.
