Stand-By Personnel is seeking experienced and motivated Line Cook candidates to support kitchen operations in a fast-paced restaurant environment. This Line Cook role is ideal for individuals passionate about food quality, teamwork, and delivering a strong guest experience. Steakhouse experience is preferred.
What the Line Cook Will Be Doing- Prepare and cook meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner across multiple stations
- Plate and garnish dishes to meet quality and presentation standards
- Carve meats and prepare omelets on buffet lines
- Rotate through kitchen stations while maintaining clear team communication
- Follow production sheets and maintain food consistency and quality
- Keep workstations, walk-in coolers, and prep areas clean and organized
- Maintain proper food rotation and par levels
- Handle special requests from chefs and guests
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and uniform standards
- Previous line cook or restaurant experience required (steakhouse preferred)
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to pass background check and pre-employment drug screen
- Reliable transportation and dependable attendance
- Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays
Work Environment Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Lift up to 50 lbs and push/pull up to 300 lbs
- Work in hot and cold environments
- Ability to taste, smell, read, write, and speak basic English
- Fast-paced casino kitchen environment with exposure to noise, flashing lights, and secondhand smoke
- Drug- and alcohol-free workplace
