Talent Consultant | MS in Industrial/Organizational PsychologyA leading manufacturing company is seeking a skilled EHS Coordinator to join their team in Chouteau, OK. This newly created position plays a key role in fostering a workplace culture focused on safety, compliance, and continuous improvement. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing proactive EHS programs, ensuring regulatory adherence, and supporting site-wide initiatives to promote the health and well-being of all employees.
The Role- Conduct regular safety inspections, risk assessments, and audits to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions.
- Deliver OSHA-required safety training and educate employees on hazardous materials management, chemical safety, and emergency procedures.
- Investigate incidents and near-misses, lead root cause analyses, and develop corrective action plans with supervisors.
- Maintain compliance with OSHA, EPA, and environmental regulations through oversight of Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), hazardous waste management, and emergency response programs.
- Serve as the site representative during internal and external safety audits, ensuring alignment with corporate standards and goals.
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health, Safety Engineering, or a related discipline preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of environmental, health, and safety experience in the manufacturing industry.
- Strong understanding of OSHA, EPA, and other applicable federal and state regulations.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and safety management software systems.
