Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Header Sub Arc Welder to join a leading manufacturing team in Catoosa. This Header Sub Arc Welder role is a direct‑hire position offering a $500 sign‑on bonus after 60 days. Candidates must have strong subarc welding experience and be able to operate automated equipment with precision, accuracy, and adherence to safety and quality standards.

Required Weld Test – Header Sub Arc Welder

Must be able to operate a Subarc Weld Machine with full proficiency and accuracy.
Previous Header Sub Arc Welder experience operating submerged arc systems is required.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Weld metal parts using the submerged arc welding process to fabricate headers and related components
  • Position headers using an overhead or jib crane and align electrode on welding head
  • Load electrode wire reel and feed wire through rolls and welding head
  • Set welding parameters including voltage, current, slope, feed rate, and flux flow
  • Fill hopper with specified flux and regulate feed over the weld line
  • Observe meters, gauges, and weld action to ensure adherence to welding procedures
  • Visually inspect welds for quality and compliance with specifications
  • Grind welds as needed to achieve required finish
Required Skills & Experience
  • Proven experience as a Header Sub Arc Welder
  • Prior hands‑on experience operating Subarc Weld Machines
  • Ability to read and interpret weld procedures, specifications, gauges, and controls
  • Ability to operate overhead or jib cranes
  • Strong understanding of welding parameters and submerged arc processes
  • Must meet all safety policies and physical requirements
