• Adhere to health and safety policies, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and wear required PPE while in the warehouse or production areas.
• Maintain food quality and safety per corporate, customer, and governing standards (e.g., SQF).
• Report problems with the FSMS to management to initiate corrective actions.
• Perform and complete repair maintenance, preventive maintenance, and line changeovers.
• Troubleshoot machinery malfunctions (electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, pneumatic).
• Maintain supporting equipment such as glycol, RO, compressed air, lubrication, and chemical distribution systems.
• Use innovative thinking to minimize downtime and ensure food safety, product quality, and personnel safety.
• Document and obtain final approvals on all assigned work orders, recording part numbers for inventory.
• Communicate effectively all maintenance and production information from shift to relieving shift.
• Assist in training other maintenance personnel.
• Communicate with production during periods of downtime.
• Work collaboratively with adjacent teams to resolve issues rapidly and drive improvement.

• Knowledge of GMPs.
• Understanding of Food Safety Requirements.
• Ability to read, understand, and work with machinery blueprints and parts manuals.
• Work independently without supervision.
• Good decision‑making/problem‑solving skills.
• Must obtain and maintain forklift certification.

• Decisive, proactive, self‑motivated, and assertive.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Data analysis and identification of trends.
• Internal customer focus with the ability to adapt to variable demands.
• Demonstrate initiative and think through to solution.
• Work effectively under own supervision.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years previous maintenance experience in manufacturing preferred.

• Work schedule:
  
  Weekdays, weekends, afternoon, evening, overnight; overtime scheduled as needed.
• Environment:
  Fast‑paced plant with moving parts, high noise levels (requires hearing protection), variable temperatures.

• Minimal travel required for training as needed.

• Stand or sit; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; lift up to 50 lbs.; carry weight; walk; drive; climb stairs/ladders; visual/sensory attention to detail; coordination and dexterity; mental stress due to deadlines and quotas.

• Other duties may be assigned as needed.
