Measurement Supervisor

Validus Energy is seeking a qualified Oil and Gas Measurement Supervisor for the Anadarko Basin. The Supervisor will evaluate the current measurement program, identify gaps or opportunities for improvement, and lead the development and implementation of an enhanced program that meets operational and regulatory needs. Responsibilities include building a capable team to oversee measurement systems, managing vendor relationships, ensuring compliance with Oklahoma Corporation Commission (OCC), Bureau of Land Management (BLM), Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA), and maintaining accuracy and efficiency across the basin.

• Conduct a thorough assessment of existing measurement systems, processes, and programs across the field organization.
• Identify gaps, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement in measurement accuracy, equipment performance, vendor service, and compliance with OCC, BLM, and BIA regulations.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to evaluate current challenges and gather feedback on measurement system performance.
• Analyze historical performance data to identify trends and areas needing improvement.

• Determine the specific needs of the measurement program to align with operational goals, regulatory compliance, and future growth.
• Develop a clear roadmap for program improvements, including recommendations for new technologies, updated processes, and refined scheduling.
• Identify critical measurement areas that require immediate attention or upgrade.

• Build and lead a team of measurement professionals to execute new or updated measurement programs.
• Recruit and train team members with the necessary skills and experience to handle installation, maintenance, calibration, and compliance tasks.
• Establish roles and responsibilities and ensure clear lines of communication, accountability, and alignment with operational goals.
• Provide leadership, mentoring, and ongoing professional development to build a high‑performing team.

• Oversee the implementation of new measurement programs, ensuring alignment with company operational goals and meeting BLM, BIA, and OCC requirements.
• Manage scheduling, coordination, and execution of system upgrades, new installations, and required maintenance.
• Ensure all measurement equipment is compliant with BLM and BIA regulations for federal or tribal lands.

• Determine appropriate mix of vendor versus internal staff.
• Manage relationships with vendors providing systems, equipment, calibration tools, and related services, ensuring they meet program requirements and regulatory standards.
• Assess vendor performance regularly and resolve issues related to equipment quality, delivery schedules, or compliance.
• Negotiate contracts to achieve best value while ensuring compliance with BLM, BIA, and OCC regulations.

• Ensure all measurement operations comply with OCC, BLM, and BIA regulations, especially on federal and tribal lands.
• Oversee documentation processes for all measurement systems, maintaining accurate records for regulatory reporting, maintenance, and audits.
• Manage reporting requirements and ensure timely, accurate submission of measurement data to regulatory bodies and internal stakeholders.

• Develop and manage detailed schedules for installation, calibration, maintenance, and repair to minimize downtime.
• Optimize resource allocation across measurement activities.
• Coordinate scheduling to align with operational goals and regulatory timelines for BLM and BIA lands.

• Monitor performance of the program, tracking key metrics such as system uptime, data accuracy, vendor performance, and regulatory compliance.
• Identify areas for improvement and implement changes based on audits and operational data.

• Provide regular updates to senior management on program progress.
