Company OverviewLivestock Nutrition Center specializes in blending customized rations, supplements and premixes to meet the specific nutritional needs of Livestock Producers' operations. We understand that management, performance objectives and feeding practices can be vastly different between operations, and that these differences dictate specific nutritional or formulation requirements. Our experienced sales staff and nutritionists will work with producers to design a feeding program that is specific to their operation.

Position SummaryThe General Manager will have the accountability to drive revenue and operating profitability growth across designated LNC facilities. This individual will lead the regional sales team and facilities managers while working with the merchandising team to grow all product class volumes and gross profit in their region. The GM will communicate directly with the Operating Board to discuss regional business environment trends, local competitor behaviors, customer growth targets, and volume and gross profit drivers.
The GM is the decision maker for in‑region activity related to the customer sales process, customer experience needs, and sales enablement activities. The GM will work with the VP of Sales & Nutrition, VP of Strategic Products, VP of Operations, and VP of Supply Chain to align strategies and maximize effectiveness across sales, merchandising, operations, and supply chain.
- Lead the regional sales team to increase business growth by strengthening relationships with customers, maximizing sales, capturing new opportunities, and improving customer and employee satisfaction.
- Utilize Salesforce, CPQ, and related platforms to monitor sales metrics, mentor the sales team, and maintain accurate sales records.
- Integrate Nutrition Teams into the local sales activities and leverage their expertise in the counselor sales approach.
- Advocate LNC’s HDN program to grow market share of range cubes, loose mineral, tubs, blocks, and other LNC or custom products.
- Drive the adoption of sales enablement best practices, tools, and technologies.
- Work with Regional Product & Dealer Managers to evaluate product and channel opportunities to grow revenue and market share.
- Foster collaboration between sales and merchandising teams to increase gross profit across premixes, straights, and blends.
- Coordinate daily sales activity to exceed budgetary goals.
- Build location‑specific business plans through S&OP and budgeting processes.
- Analyze competitor activity and devise strategies to accelerate market growth.
- Maintain regular visibility with regional teams (minimum one visit every two weeks).
- Manage volume growth and price exceptions to maximize operating profit.
- Oversee accounts receivable practices to balance risk and reward.
- Provide constructive feedback and customer problem resolution.
- Ensure compliance with accounts receivable and open SO policy.
- Contribute market, customer, and facility insights for accurate S&OP forecasting and gross‑profit maximization.
- Promote transparent communication among merchandising, sales, and procurement to maximize gross profit.
- Participate in weekly market calls to stay informed of trends.
- Support ingredient gameplan execution as needed.
- Review and manage demurrage with facilities and supply chain.
- Hold Facilities Managers to principles of customer focus, staffing, cost management, inventory, fleet, and capital planning.
