Job DescriptionThis grant-funded Assistant District Attorney position focuses on prosecuting domestic violence and sexual assault cases. As the designated VAWA prosecutor, responsibilities include developing training protocols for law enforcement and prosecutors on violence against women. Assisting in establishing best practices for cases involving women, teens, the elderly, and individuals with disabilities. Conducting educational programs on teen dating violence at local high schools within the district.
Minimum Requirements- Prior prosecution experience preferred but not required.
- Prior legal experience required.
- Must possess strong writing and research skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate and work with law enforcement, elected officials, attorneys and other agencies.
- Must pass a fingerprint and background check and have no criminal history.
- Juris Doctorate from accredited law school.
- Admitted to and good standing with Oklahoma Bar Association.
