Data Center Technician - Technical IT

Our client, a leading organization in the technology and data management industry, is seeking a Data Center Technician - Technical IT 1 to join their team. As a Data Center Technician - Technical IT 1, you will be part of the Data Center Operations supporting the technical infrastructure team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate adaptability, strong problem-solving skills, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Data Center Technician - Technical IT 1
Location: Aldie, VA
Pay Range: $25 - $28/hour
18 Months on W2
Regular Business Hours (Mo-Fr)

• Remove network cables as part of datacenter decommissioning
• Run, label, and stage power and networking cables
• Perform DBD (data-bearing device) removal only (no scanning involved)
• Follow procedures for preparing, installing, diagnosing, troubleshooting, replacing, and decommissioning equipment, with guidance from Datacenter Technician Leads
• Prepare, stage, set up, and conduct basic startups and shutdowns for hardware using written instructions, checklists, and standard procedures
• Conduct physical audits of datacenter assets

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Basic knowledge of computer hardware, servers, and components.
• Basic understanding of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word).
• Flexibility to work non-standard business hours, including weekends and/or holidays.
• 0-2 years of experience in a related field.
