Overview
Our client, a leading technology company, is seeking a Contract Network Engineer to join their team onsite in San Jose, CA. As a Network Engineer, you will be part of the IT Infrastructure Department supporting the Network Operations team. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and adaptability to new technologies, which will align successfully in the organization.

Responsibilities- Assist users with network-related inquiries and provide technical support for network issues.
- Perform routine network maintenance tasks, including applying software updates, patches, and firmware upgrades.
- Monitor network performance using diagnostic tools and respond to alerts.
- Install and configure network hardware and software components, including wireless equipment.
- Maintain detailed documentation related to network configurations and procedures.
- 5–7 years of experience in network engineering or related roles.
- Basic understanding of network protocols, routing, switching, and wireless technologies.
- Familiarity with network monitoring and diagnostic tools.
- Relevant certifications such as CCNA (preferred).
- Python scripting experience and automation development skills a plus.
- Competitive pay for a 6-month contract role.
