Human Resources Generalist – Oklahoma Position Summary
The Human Resources Generalist supports the HR Manager in delivering comprehensive HR services across the organization. This exempt position is responsible for recruitment, training and development, performance management, employee relations, workplace investigations, compliance, onboarding, reporting, and organizational development.
Essential Responsibilities- Support compliance with company Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and HACCP standards to promote a safe, sanitary, and compliant work environment.
- Coordinate full‑cycle recruitment activities, including job postings, applicant screening, interviews, and job offers.
- Administer HR programs, policies, and procedures; assist with the development and implementation of training initiatives.
- Coordinate and facilitate new hire orientation and onboarding programs.
- Conduct or support employee relations investigations, including intake, fact‑finding, documentation, and resolution, in partnership with HR leadership and in accordance with company policy and applicable employment laws.
- Collect, analyze, and report HR metrics, including turnover data and exit interview feedback.
- Assist the HR Manager in evaluating departmental outcomes against established goals and objectives.
- Serve as a resource to employees regarding benefits and 401(k) enrollment.
- Recommend improvements to HR processes, policies, and procedures to enhance efficiency and service delivery.
- Develop clear and timely communications to support employee engagement and information sharing.
- Advise and coach leaders and employees on the interpretation and application of HR policies, ensuring fairness, consistency, and compliance.
- Manage employee relations matters by responding to concerns promptly, professionally, and proactively.
- Support benefits administration by assisting employees, coordinating resolutions, and communicating relevant information.
- Coordinate community involvement initiatives and internal engagement activities.
- Maintain employee personnel files, benefits records, and required legal documentation in compliance with federal and Oklahoma regulations.
- Process unemployment claims and related correspondence in accordance with federal and state requirements.
- Provide backup support for other HR functions as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Assist with operational activities as needed to maintain workflow, schedules, and quality standards.
- Maintain a safe, organized, and compliant work environment.
- Participate in meetings and cross‑functional work groups to share information, resolve issues, and remain current on regulatory and policy updates.
- Bachelor’s degree with three to five years of Human Resources experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Working knowledge of HR principles, practices, and applicable federal and Oklahoma employment laws.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR‑related systems.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and sound judgment.
- Ability to adapt effectively in a fast‑paced, changing environment.
This position is primarily based in an office setting.
