The Valet Attendant is responsible for delivering outstanding service to hotel guests by assisting with arrivals and departures, operating guest vehicles safely, and maintaining organized valet operations. This position requires strong customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in busy environments while upholding hotel policies and safety procedures.
Responsibilities- Greet guests upon arrival and departure with a friendly and professional attitude.
- Safely park and retrieve guest vehicles in designated parking areas.
- Assist guests with luggage and provide directions or information about hotel amenities, services, and events.
- Maintain proper vehicle handling procedures and follow key control and ticket tracking processes.
- Conduct quick visual inspections of vehicles when parking and retrieving.
- Maintain efficient traffic flow and assist with vehicle staging during busy periods.
- Communicate with supervisors and team members to ensure smooth operations.
- Follow hotel policies, safety procedures, and appearance standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of valet areas, key storage, and staging locations.
- Provide prompt assistance to guests and address service requests professionally.
- Demonstrate a strong guest-first mentality and maintain professionalism during high-volume periods.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Previous customer service or hospitality experience preferred.
- Ability to safely operate various types of vehicles, including manual and automatic transmissions, preferred.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to stand, walk, run, and lift luggage for extended periods of time.
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Position is safety-sensitive and subject to drug testing.
