NIHSS preferred.
Must-Have:
Cardiac self-rating of 3 or above.
Basic dysrhythmia training preferred with self-rating of 3 or above.
All units may care for patients with mental health diagnoses.
Description:
The registered nurse will work nights with a ratio of 1:5, with chances for 1:6-7.
Weekend shifts are required, with three weekend shifts every six weeks.
The nurse will float within scope to meet facility needs.
The average daily census is 24 patients.
The unit serves a diverse population with various diagnoses including altered mental status, congestive heart failure, stroke, surgical patients, and infections.
The nurse should have robust experience in managing and interpreting dysrhythmias.
The role includes responsibilities like central line blood draws, peripheral line care, and oxygen administration.
Charting will be done using EPIC, and familiarity with this system is essential.
The attendance policy is strict, and missed scheduled shifts will count as unexcused.
All candidates must understand the importance of adherence to the attendance policy.
No additional time off will be granted after submission, and holiday time off will not be approved.
