Location: Cleveland
Position Summary
Under the direction of the Clinic Practice Manager, an experienced and knowledgeable Medical Assistant/Scribe will be responsible for documenting accurate and detailed information of patient visits and medical records. The Scribe will provide the highest quality customer service to patients, adhere to practice protocols and processes, and effectively manage the volume of work without allowing quality to be compromised.
Essential Functions- Adheres to organization’s policies and procedures.
- Accompanies doctor into the patient examination room to document the encounter accurately and efficiently.
- Performs all functions of a Medical Assistant.
- Performs routine patient care responsibilities.
- Conducts patient outreach phone calls and post‑procedure follow‑up.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
- Understands and observes legal concepts such as HIPAA and confidentiality.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Successful completion of an accredited Medical Assisting technical program.
- 1+ years of experience in a medical setting with thorough knowledge of medical terminology.
- Medical Assistant experience required.
- LPN experience preferred.
- Communication.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee is regularly required to talk or hear, frequently stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms. The employee must be able to lift 20 lbs. using appropriate body‑mechanics techniques.
Good hearing, vocal and visual skills are required. The job may require bending, stretching, pushing, pulling, and may expose the employee to communicable diseases.
