Respiratory Therapist- PRN

Overview

We are seeking a PRN Respiratory Therapist to join our team. This position provides respiratory care services on an as-needed basis to patients across multiple care settings, including the emergency department, inpatient, and outpatient services. The ideal candidate is flexible, dependable, and committed to delivering safe, evidence-based respiratory therapy in a rural hospital setting.

• Administer respiratory therapy treatments and procedures as ordered by physicians.
• Monitor, evaluate, and document patient responses to therapy.
• Manage and maintain respiratory equipment, ensuring proper function and safety.
• Respond promptly to emergency situations and provide life-support interventions when needed.
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and other healthcare providers to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Educate patients and families on respiratory care techniques, treatments, and equipment use.

• Current Respiratory Therapy certification required.
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications preferred.
• Previous hospital respiratory therapy experience preferred.
• Strong critical thinking skills and ability to adapt in a fast-paced, rural hospital environment.

Salary: $26.75 - $41.16 per hour
