Under general supervision, this role provides comprehensive speech therapy and language development services to a specified population of residents. The responsibilities include screening, evaluating, and developing individualized therapeutic programs.

• Examine, test, diagnose, and administer treatments for residents with speech and language disorders, hearing disorders, and oral‑motor disorders.
• Perform evaluations focused on receptive and expressive language skills, speech fluency, vocal and oral‑motor competence, articulation, and auditory skills.
• Maintain communication with residents and other concerned parties regarding progress, problems, home programs, and other issues related to the therapeutic process.
• Facilitate behavior management for residents and families as appropriate to their needs.
• Maintain records of work performed.

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Speech Therapy
• Current license in state of practice
• Certification, if applicable, and demonstrated competency in identified areas of specialization
• Organized and detail‑oriented work performance
• Good communication skills with excellent self‑discipline and patience
• Genuine caring for and interest in elderly and disabled people in a nursing facility
