** The Opportunity
** You will provide technical and operational leadership to ensure safe, efficient, and regulatory-compliant production operations. The position supports field operators through hands-on leadership, regular field presence, and close collaboration with cross-functional teams to meet production, cost, and safety objectives.
** What you will do
*** Achieve HSE, Budget, Production and Regulatory KPI’s
* Champion HSE performance and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (AER, ABSA, OH&S)
* Lead and mentor operational staff, with regular time spent in the field
* Optimize production performance by reducing downtime and improving well and facility operations
* Monitor operating parameters, production volumes, and data integrity in field systems
* Prepare weekly production variance reports and support operating budget planning and accruals
* Provide on-call and emergency response support at the district level
* Work closely with Maintenance, Engineering, Accounting, Land, Marketing, HSE, and Joint-venture partners
* Manage the field chemical program in collaboration with Engineering and Asset Integrity
* Work with third parties including other producers, landowner, regulators, and one calls.
** What you will bring
*** 10-15 years of relevant industry experience as a Lead Operator and/or Foreman
* Proven leadership capabilities
* Formal operational and safety training including:
First Aid / CPR, H2S Alive,
* Proven and demonstrated commitment to HSE expectations and requirements
* Software experience in field data capture (Prodview), SCADA and well optimization programs.
* Proven success in the ability to be flexible and adapt to change
* Must reside within a maximum of 50 km of the Drayton Valley office
