We are seeking a Senior Industrial Engineer who will be responsible for investigating, developing, and implementing methods for producing the right product, in the right quantity, at the lowest standard cost. Determines labor standards, facility layouts, process methods, ergonomic and cost improvements, manpower planning, and material handling and flow.

Responsibilities
  • Evaluate the direct labor content of manufacturing methods, using appropriate work measurement techniques, to establish and maintain time standards.
  • Gather, analyze, and interpret data from ergonomic evaluations to develop the lowest total cost solution.
  • Help lead safety investigations, focusing on root cause analysis and solutions.
  • Evaluate indirect labor associated with direct labor operations, including setup, process maintenance, and material handling.
  • Maintain plant and departmental layouts.
  • Prepare detailed operations planning and operator‑oriented information system documents (terminal planning) necessary to interface operations with marketing, engineering, accounting, and data processing.
  • Define, specify, quote, order, and implement material‑handling equipment.
  • Perform other related duties as required or assigned.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
  • Knows arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics, and their applications.
  • Predicts physical principles, laws, and their interrelationships, applying them to understand fluid, material, and atmospheric dynamics; understands mechanical and electrical structures and processes.
  • Analyzes information and evaluates results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
  • Identifies underlying principles, reasons, facts, or information by breaking down data into separate parts.
  • Effectively communicates information and responds to questions in person‑to‑person and small‑group situations with customers, clients, the general public, and other employees.
  • Maintains confidentiality and uses discretion with business information.
  • Reads and understands documents such as policy manuals, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Writes routine reports and correspondence.
  • Utilizes common sense to carry out written, oral, or diagrammed instructions.
  • Deals with problems involving several known variables in routine situations.
  • Plans the time, method, manner, and/or performance sequence of own work; may assist in planning work assignments performed by others within a limited area of operation.
  • Makes decisions of both minor and major importance, which may affect the work operations of other employees and/or clientele to a moderate degree.
  • Completes some moderately repetitive tasks.
  • Uses complex and non‑complex machines and equipment.
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field (required).
  • 5+ years of related experience (required).
  • Lean manufacturing and Kaizen implementation experience (required).
Computer Skills
  • Intermediate: CAD software, alphanumeric data entry, spreadsheet.
  • Basic: Word processing/typing.
