Position Overview
Wind Site Technician III – Ardmore, OK (Arbuckle site). Vestas, a global leader in wind energy, invites you to join our journey towards renewable power solutions. We design, manufacture, install, and maintain turbines in over 80 countries.
Key Responsibilities- Diagnose, repair, and maintain wind turbines to sustain reliable community energy.
- Adhere to safety protocols, perform inspections, and foster a safety culture.
- Collaborate with team members to improve turbine performance, share best practices, and support change initiatives.
- Document work thoroughly and recommend improvements to work instructions and operational processes.
- Support specialty projects (e.g., crane work, CIM) and mentor junior technicians.
- Minimum 3 years of wind experience, heavy equipment and crane operations, TBC Level 300 or willingness to obtain.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and a proactive approach to responsibilities.
- Safety‑conscious; advanced knowledge of energy isolation and risk mitigation.
- Collaborative team player who mentors others and leads by example.
- Proficient in English; physically fit, comfortable working at heights and in varying conditions.
- High school diploma (or equivalent), valid driver’s license, and legal authorization to work in the U.S.

Physical Demands- Stand and walk for prolonged periods; climb ladders and stairs to heights of 60–100 m.
- Lift, push, pull, and carry items up to 50 lbs.
- Operate hand‑eye coordination and manual dexterity for crane and confined‑space work.
- Observe training and obtain required safety certifications (LOTO, Electrical Qualification, Fall Arrest & High Angle Rescue, etc.).
