Education Specialist Native American Students

Tribal Education Departments National Assembly (TEDNA) is a Native-led nonprofit organization that has been serving Tribal Education Departments/Agencies (TEDs/TEAs) since 2003.

Tedna seeks a qualified Education Specialist who enjoys interacting with and supports Native American students in grades 9-12.

The ideal candidate must have the following qualities:

• Strong Interpersonal Skills
• Professional communication skills (written and verbal)
• Proficiency with web-based tools and resources
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
• Enjoy working in a team environment

• Self-driven/motivation
• Ability to organize and to research best practices/methods
• Understanding and adherence to time-sensitive deadlines
• Available for occasional evening and weekend events

• Collaborate with students and families toward college and career readiness goals
• Travel daily to school sites
• Work in collaboration with LEAs and TEAs
• Attend and participate in family engagement events

• Provide mandatory reports to TEAs and supervisors
• Attend meetings and training courses for the position as necessary

• Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

• Salary is negotiablebased on experience and education
