St Marianne Cope Catholic Primary School, Mt Atkinson, is seeking an enthusiastic and fluent Italian Language Coach to join our team in 2026. This is an exciting opportunity to help establish a new language program in a vibrant and growing Catholic school community.

We are introducing Italian as our additional language and are looking for a confident and proficient Italian speaker to work one day per week, supporting teachers and students in learning and using the language. This position does not require a teaching qualification, making it ideal for:

• A university student studying education or languages, or
• A fluent Italian speaker seeking rewarding part‑time work in a school environment.

As our Italian Language Coach, you will work collaboratively alongside classroom teachers, supporting the acquisition of Italian and fostering a love of language and culture among students. Our approach is not simply cultural - students and teachers are co‑learners, and your fluency will be vital to bringing Italian to life across the school.

• Be fluent in spoken and written Italian
• Have a sound understanding of Italian culture, traditions, and celebrations
• Be an enthusiastic and motivating coach, able to inspire students and staff
• Have strong interpersonal and communication skills, working respectfully with students, colleagues, parents, and community members
• Be flexible, positive, and collaborative, embracing the dynamic nature of a new and growing school community
