Chenega Government Mission Solutions, LLC, a Chenega Professional Services’ company, is looking for an Orthopedic Physician (Locum Tenens) in support of the Wewoka Indian Health Center. The Orthopedic Physician will provide services to beneficiaries of the Indian Health Service in Wewoka, OK. The Physician shall deliver quality care to attain positive health outcomes for all our valued patients with emphasis on cultural sensitivity and human dignity.

The Wewoka Indian Health Center provides outpatient services in general medicine, medical imaging (including onsite mammography), audiology, pharmacy, optometry, dentistry, asthma clinic, counseling for emotional problems, and nutrition counseling.

Compensation:

  • 1099, rate $180-190/hour
  • Part-time, 1 day per week (Wednesdays preferred)
  • Hours:

    8am-4:30pm

Responsibilities:

  • Scope of services shall include fluid aspiration of joints, casting, general examinations, diagnosis, joint injections (knee, shoulder, hand, etc.) and treatment plans with recommendations for all patients seen.
  • Full utilization of the RPMS Electronic Health Record (EHR) and notification systems to communicate with the nursing and medical providers at the Wewoka Service Unit.
  • Appropriate documentation of services, education and treatment of patients in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
  • Provide consultative reports at the time of examinations in the EHR.
  • Responsible for actions necessary for Joint Commission standard compliance and administrative policies as directed.

Qualifications:

  • Permanent, current, full and unrestricted license to practice Orthopedic medicine in a state, District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.
  • Board Certified in Orthopedics.
  • 5 years of experience as an Orthopedic Physician.
