Bookkeeper/ Accounting Clerk
Location: Collinsville
Job Summary
Assist in processing documents for compliance with both federal and CN Policies and obtaining corrections of same, filing, data entry and follow up with outside sources.
Job Duties- Compiles and sorts documents, such as invoices and checks, substantiating business transactions.
- Enters data for Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, and/or journal entries.
- Maintains spreadsheets.
- Maintains filing of documents.
- Performs prescribed procedures for review by accountants, supervisor or manager. Other duties may be assigned.
This job has no supervisory responsibilities
Qualifications- Educational Requirement: High school education; or general education degree (GED).
- Experience Requirement: An additional one year of grocery clerk experience required.
- Computer
Skills:
Knowledge of Accounting software;
Database software;
Internet software;
Payroll systems;
Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software. - Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: A driver's license may be required to work in some departments. If so, the applicant/employee must possess a valid driver's license with a driving history verified through a motor vehicle report that meets requirements for Cherokee Nation underwriting rating.

Skills and Abilities:
Must have some bookkeeping skills, basic computer skills, and data input skills as well as 10 key calculator by touch ability. Employee must not and will not be under sanction by the United States Department of Health and Human Services Office of the Inspector General (OIG) or by the General Services Administration (GSA) or listed on the OIG's Cumulative Sanction Report, or the GSA's List of Excluded Providers, or listed on the OIG's List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE).

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and ability to adjust focus.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
