Tax Professional - Franchise Location

Seasonal role at H&R Block serving clients with diverse tax needs. Requires advanced tax training and experience.

• Conduct tax interviews with clients face to face and through virtual tools—video, phone, chat, email.
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns.
• Generate business growth, increase client retention, and offer additional products and services.
• Provide clients with IRS support and tax notice services. (All certification levels can provide tax notice services.)
• Provide audit representation (Circular 230 associates).
• Mentor and support teammates.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
• CPA or Enrolled Agent certification.
• Experience completing complex returns (individual, trust, partnership).
• 5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax.
• Experience conducting virtual tax interviews.
• Experience with tax planning and audit support.
• Sales and/or marketing experience.

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment.
• Experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax.
• Experience completing individual returns.
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfort using virtual tools—video, phone, chat.
• Effective communication skills in person, via phone and writing.
• Must meet continuing education requirements and all IRS and state requirements.
• High school diploma or equivalent (or higher).
