Description Summary
The Tire Warehouse Lead assists the Warehouse Manager in overseeing daily warehouse operations, including tire receiving, storage, inventory control, and order fulfillment. This role serves as a working leader, providing direction and support to warehouse team members while ensuring safety, accuracy, productivity, and customer service standards are met.
Essential Functions- Lead and coordinate daily warehouse operations, including receiving, stocking, picking, and shipping.
- Assist customers with orders, sales, and payments.
- Ensure accurate inventory control, cycle counts, and proper tire storage procedures.
- Monitor workflow to meet productivity and order fulfillment deadlines.
- Enforce safety standards, including proper lifting techniques and equipment use.
- Follow warehouse processes, safety, and quality standards.
- Inspect inbound and outbound shipments for accuracy and damage.
- Operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and tire handling equipment.
- Communicate operational issues or staffing needs to the Warehouse Manager.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient warehouse environment.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce errors.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 2+ years of warehouse experience, preferably in tire distribution or an automotive environment.
- Prior lead or supervisory experience preferred.
- Knowledge of inventory management and warehouse best practices.
- Forklift certification or the ability to obtain certification.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to lift to 75 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods.
- Computer skills (inventory systems, scanners, or Microsoft Office experience required).
