Job Description

As a dedicated driver, you'll enjoy the stability of consistent customers and predictable routes. This position allows you to better anticipate your miles, hours, and pay, so you'll always know what to expect in your paycheck. With familiar freight loads, you won't be surprised by unusual shipments, and you'll have the peace of mind that comes with regular work.

Competitive Pay:

* Average $1,400 per week / $73,000 per year

* Starting pay: $0.58cpm

* Average miles per week: 2,300

* Stop pay: $25 each stop (average 10 stops per week)

* Additional pay:
Detention, breakdown and layover pay available

* Per Diem:
Company- sponsored per diem program

Weekly Home Time:

* Weekly home time, and potentially some mid-week home time

Consistent

Schedule:

* Monday to Friday with occasional Sunday departures

* Coverage Area: OK, TX, KS, NE, MO, AR, SC, OH, GA

Freight & Equipment:

* Primarily pull curtainside flatbeds and Conestoga trailers, with no tarping required

* Haul aluminum and plastic extrusions and other building products

* Limited unloading: only 10% of deliveries require unloading, primarily at smaller customer locations

Job Requirements

* Must live within a 100-mile radius

* Must have 1-year verifiable tractor-trailer experience within the past 3 years

* Must be 21 years of age or older

* Must have Class A CDL

* No convictions for reckless driving within the past 5 years

* No convictions for DUI within the past 5 years

* No suspensions or revocations within the last 5 years

* No serious violations within the previous 12 months (15 mph or greater, following too closely, improper passing, traffic offense committed in a CMV in connection with fatality)

* No more than 3 moving violations within the past 3 years

* No preventable DOT recordable accidents within the past 3 years

Essential functions:

* Load freight - lift requirement: 80 lbs

* Unload freight - lift requirement: 80 lbs

* Move freight - force requirement: 54 lbs

* Open/Close Trailer Doors - force requirement: 46 lbs

* Count freight

* Complete fuel tickets

* Obtain sales leads

* Hook/Unhook trailer - force requirement: 90 lbs (Class A Only)

* Perform pre-trip inspections

* Drive

* Regular predictable attendance

* Enter/Exit a Commercial Motor Vehicle

* Enter/Exit the rear of a trailer from ground level
