Purpose of Position

The Pilot is responsible for providing a superior air transportation experience with a continued safety record second to none on each flight. The Pilot is the face of Net Jets, providing not only technically accurate and safe transportation but also an exceptional service experience for every Net Jets owner and passenger. The Pilot is expected to effectively wear many hats, resulting in a concierge service level experience with roles ranging from professional aviator to in‑flight service provider.

Tasks

and Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the safe operation of the aircraft from taxi, take‑off to landing, per FAA guidelines, OEM checklists, Net Jets Flight Operations Manual (FOM), or Aircraft Operating Manual (AOM), and SOPs.
  • Greets owners/passengers pre‑flight, introduces them to the flight and briefs them on itinerary, weather, safety briefings and any changes.
  • Delivers in‑flight service as needed, including handling of alcohol and catering.
  • Loads and properly stows all baggage.
  • Conducts flights with owners who have pets or smoke.
  • Acts as the final authority on the aircraft regarding safety and regulatory compliance.
  • Liaises with owners/passengers and Net Jets from arrival at the FBO to departure from the final FBO.
  • Communicates any maintenance abnormalities or discrepancies to the Company via MCC and completes related paperwork.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other (KSAOs)
  • At least 21 years of age
  • 1,500 hours total flight time, or 1,250 hours with university R‑ATP, or 1,000 hours with military qualification or university R‑ATP
  • 200 hours cross‑country (>50 nm)
  • 250 hours fixed‑wing PIC
  • 100 hours night flying (or 75 hours with >=45 night take‑offs/landings)
  • 75 hours instrument time
  • ATP written completed prior to indoctrination training
  • 50 hours fixed‑wing multi‑engine
  • Current FAA First‑Class Medical certificate
  • FCC Restricted Radio Operator’s Permit
  • Valid passport
  • Authorization to work in the U.S. and travel internationally without restriction
  • Extremely flexible, able to adjust to rapid changes, manage rest to be prepared for flight duty
  • Duty may last up to fourteen hours per day for up to eight days and span different time zones and extreme weather
  • Can be away from home for seven or more consecutive days and nights, staying in hotels
  • Secure appropriate airport authority and US Customs security badges and pass TSA screening
  • Valid U.S. passport and State driver’s license
  • Fluent in English
  • Service‑oriented with neat, well‑groomed appearance and strong passenger interaction skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, especially under pressure
  • Capable of making quick and accurate decisions with attention to detail
  • Capable of exerting up to 50 lb force occasionally, up to 30 lb frequently, up to 10 lb constantly to move objects
  • Work around animals, including handling and care before, during, and after owner flights
  • Conduct flights for owners who smoke
Base Salary Range

$86,015 – $117,706
