Position Summary
Position requires the transportation of Mid-Del students grades K-12. Driver will be required to pick-up students at specific stops and safely transport to school in the AM and then back home in the PM.
Responsibilities- Obeys all traffic laws and observes all mandatory safety regulations.
- Maintains discipline when students are on the bus.
- Reports undisciplined student to the proper authority.
- Performs proper pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
- Notifies the proper authority in case of mechanical failure or lateness.
- Discharges students only at authorized stops.
- Reports accidents and completes required reports.
- Expected to use professional conduct at all times.
- Fulfills Board Policy to exhibit dress and appearance that is neat, clean and orderly.
- Additional duties that may be assigned by immediate supervisor or above.
- Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
- Must hold a minimum CDL, Class B license with all required endorsements and school bus certification.
- Must pass physical, drug testing, background felony check, and background drive check.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.

$18.31 per hour as needed - Department: Transportation

- Physical Demands: The job requires regular use of hands, ability to lift and move up to 100 pounds, and vision requirements as described. Reasonable accommodations may be made.
- Work Environment: Exposure to fumes or airborne particles, varying weather, moving mechanical parts, and noise levels; accommodations may be provided.
Employee may occasionally be required to supervise a varying number of employees in the overall direction, coordination, and completion of tasks as assigned.
