With a job in Sports, you can help athletes of all ages grow as players and individuals. Your part‑time role at the Y can make a lifelong impact on the individuals in your community! We’re looking for pickleball court monitors who can help us keep our Thurman Family Pickleball Center programs running smoothly, putting the development of players at the forefront of all we do.

Responsibilities
  • Help ensure a quality program by monitoring and maintaining facilities and equipment used by the YMCA to carry out the program at the highest level possible.
  • Act as an extension of the Program Director in charge of sports by addressing any questions and concerns brought by participants.
  • Complete all required Annual Compliance Trainings within 30 days of hire and renew annually.
  • Arrive 15 minutes prior to the start of scheduled events and stay late as needed.
  • Communicate problems and concerns shared by participants to the director in charge.
  • Provide the safest possible environment by organizing and maintaining the program area and all Y equipment used by members.
  • Report any and all incidents to supervisor.
  • Carry out approved emergency action plans in the event of an emergency.
  • Clean program area before and after activities.
  • Set up and restock playing surfaces prior to program and return equipment after program to provide a safe environment.
  • Communicate effectively with members and develop meaningful and sustainable relationships with them.
Qualifications
  • Must be certified in PR/CPR, AED, O2, and First Aid (training provided by the Y, if needed).
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Have an understanding of the YMCA mission in sports and how that mission is carried out using the Y’s Core Values.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate and relate to all age levels.
  • Must be able to lift 30 pounds.
