JOB SUMMARY: EMCOR Government Services, Inc. is seeking an energetic Critical Facilities Technician to serve as a technical resource and leader for DISA Data Centers. The position will help ensure overall availability and reliability to meet or exceed defined service levels of data center operations. The Critical Facilities Technician is responsible for the overall operation of all electrical, mechanical, HVAC and life cycle safety equipment within the data center.
The technician will assist in maintaining high reliability and performance while keeping operating costs in facilities at a minimum. This equipment supports mission-critical servers and must maintain better than 99.999% uptime.
This role acts as front-line technician for hands-on electrical and mechanical equipment troubleshooting. They will operate and troubleshoot mission-critical data center facility equipment including electrical support equipment such as stand-by diesel generators and related fuel systems, 3-phase electrical systems including switch gear, UPS units, PDUs, and wet cell batteries. Mechanical equipment includes CRAC units, centrifugal chillers, cooling towers, water chemical systems, air handlers, pumps, and motors.
Additional support equipment includes fire suppression systems, building automation systems, and general facilities equipment. EMCOR Government Services is seeking a Critical Facilities Technician for a rotating shift but may support other shifts as needed for a Oklahoma City, OK facility.

Job Title: Critical Facilities Technician (DISA)
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee all aspects of the data center’s critical physical infrastructure, ensuring work is performed per the performance work statement and to high quality standards without impacting customers.
- Support trades in installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC and electrical systems in a data center.
- Ensure data center operates at maximum efficiency by analyzing conditions, recommending new technologies, and reducing costs.
- Monitor and respond to abnormal conditions in Mechanical, Electrical, Fire/Life Safety, and Building Monitoring systems.
- Monitor electrical/critical power distribution from utility/generator switch gear through UPS systems to the customer load.
- Ensure fire/life safety systems are operational, including sprinkler and suppression systems.
- Develop strategies to minimize operational costs, improve efficiency, and implement new solutions.
- Read blueprints, schematics, and technical documents to determine methods and processes.
- Complete inspection rounds, document deficiencies, and correct issues.
- Work with Lead Technicians to track and complete O&M tasks and services.
- Engage in IDIQ improvement projects from conception to completion.
- Coordinate with third-party vendors to ensure SLA adherence and monitor PM completion.
- Oversee work order projections and ensure deliverables meet performance standards.
- Operate as after-hours on-call to respond to data center issues, managing investigation and recovery.
- Report to Facility Project Manager and/or Deputy Project Manager.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Maintain regular, predictable attendance and be part of after-hours notification protocols.
- Wear PPE such as safety glasses, shoes, hard hats, and hearing protection as required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Understanding of electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety systems used in data centers.
