Part Time Technician I​/Mechanic

The City of Midwest City is accepting applications for a Part Time Technician I/Mechanic in the Fleet Services Department. This position is designated as safety/security sensitive and is subject to pre-employment, reasonable suspicion and random drug and alcohol screening.

• Performs skilled repair and maintenance of light and heavy automotive equipment with gasoline or diesel engines, including cars, trucks, tractors and construction equipment.

• High school graduate or equivalent with previous experience in automotive maintenance and repair.
• Regular use of highly complex machines and equipment; specialized or advanced software programs.
• Must possess a valid Oklahoma driver’s license and be insurable.
• All new employees must receive or possess at least one category of ASE certification within their first year of employment.
• Must obtain or possess ASE certification in 5 categories (E-3).
• Must obtain or possess ASE certification in 7 categories (E-5).
• Commercial driver license preferred.

Starting Salary: $16.3020/hr.
