Job Summary:
Diagnoses, repairs, reconditions, and adjusts key systems and components of trucks and related equipment.
Entry-level position – Generally has one year of experience and/or demonstrated job relevant knowledge/skills. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job; works under immediate supervision.
The incumbent in this position is expected to model the following practices on a daily basis:

- Models, promotes, reinforces, and rewards the consistent use of HOLT s Values Based Leadership (VBL) tools, models, and processes to ensure alignment with our Vision, Values, and Mission
- Troubleshoots and diagnoses basic engine malfunctions and failures with supervision
- Performs basic engine and related equipment repairs on trucks and trailers with supervision
- Provides quality control/assurance inspections of completed tasks to include road testing
- Uses computers and related software to assist in diagnosing and reprograming engines
- Completes documentation for service reports, timecards, parts requisition and returns
- Interprets and utilizes information from operating, maintenance, online resources, and service manuals/bulletins
- Operates equipment and vehicles with possession of all necessary licenses and certificates
- Adheres to contamination control and HAZMAT rules and regulations
- Maintains all company equipment, tools, and vehicle in a good, clean, and working order
- Communicates job progress to supervisor and customer as needed
- Works overtime as required by workload and customers needs
- Projects professionalism with both internal and external customers, including personal appearance
- Completes all assigned Technician Training Path courses and safety training
- Maintains an average rework of less than 2% and a positive average variance
- Works safely at all times and adheres to all applicable safety policies; complies with all company policies, procedures, and standards
- Requires regular and punctual attendance
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Ability to meet all requirements as outlined in Leveling Description Guide, including Basic Requirements, Cab Body Repairs, Brakes, Preventative Maintenance, Axles, Steering, and Frame and Suspension
- Demonstrates the ability to improve time in disassembly, inspection, determining parts required and reassembly of repairs
- General knowledge of equipment and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance
- Knowledge and proficiency with current computer software, related hardware, and electronic systems diagnostic tooling
- Ability to meet all requirements as outlines in Leveling Description Guide for Electrical System, Engine Systems, AC/Hea t System, Fuel System, Compressed Air Systems, Cooling System and Rear Differential
- Operation and control skills of vehicle fleet

- High school diploma or equivalent, accreditation from a technical school or an applicable skilled trades program required
- Up to one year of experience preferred
- ASE – Medium/Heavy Truck Certification one or more preferred
