Role

Summary

This position is responsible for performing tasks associated with the repair, installation, and diagnostics of plant utilities, plant assets, fire suppression systems, boilers, and mechanical equipment and components. The role requires troubleshooting electrical and electronic components while ensuring that all company, regulatory, and customer requirements are met.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Perform tasks directed by the Supervisor as needed.
  • Establish and maintain effective work relationships within the department.
  • Maintain professional competence, knowledge, and skill necessary for satisfactory performance of assigned responsibilities.
  • Analyze and resolve work problems or assist workers in solving them.
  • Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair basic plumbing, welding, mechanical, machines, industrial motor control, hydraulic air circuitry, fire suppression systems, boilers, and HVAC.
  • Perform a wide variety of maintenance/basic electrical projects, including small tool repair.
  • Requisition tools, equipment, and supplies.
  • Work from verbal and written instructions, drawings, and equipment manuals.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
  • Complete work order data; update and enter the work order system.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Basic mathematical skills.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • Minimum of 1 year related experience and/or training.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and comply with OSHA standards.
