Our Electronic Technician is a member of a multi‑functional team providing technical support services for the Federal Aviation Administration Logistics Center (FAALC) at the Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center (MMAC) in Oklahoma City, OK. The role involves troubleshooting, repair, overhaul, testing, certification, and installation services on designated electronic and mechanical systems.
Responsibilities- Perform troubleshooting, tear‑down, repair, refurbishment, overhaul, assembly, testing, and installation on assigned equipment.
- Provide electronics technician services to FAALC group/product divisions to ensure systems meet serviceability, reliability, and availability requirements.
- Complete tasks in accordance with FAA and FAALC standards, orders, technical instructions, and quality procedures.
- Perform NAVAID antenna and component repair and overhaul.
- Diagnose and repair rotary joint and drive motor issues.
- Conduct circuit board testing and repair, including trace work and eyelet repair.
- Produce and repair electronic cables and wire harnesses.
- Analyze equipment performance, collect data, and produce reports.
- Adjust, test, calibrate, certify, and modify equipment.
- Install and maintain NAS Radomes.
- Test and troubleshoot electronic assemblies, components, cables, wiring harnesses, circuit cards, prototypes, test fixtures, and test beds.
- Assemble cables, wiring harnesses, circuit cards, and electronic assemblies per technical documentation.
- Install electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems, subsystems, components, test fixtures, modifications, and engineering prototypes.
- Use multimeters, oscilloscopes, and network analyzers; perform through‑hole and surface‑mount soldering.
- Read and follow RF schematics; assemble and test RF cables and terminate associated RF connectors.
- Perform moderate physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 lb., bending, climbing, crawling, kneeling, reaching overhead, and operating cranes, trucks, tractors, or motor vehicles.
- Minimum high school diploma or GED with completion of formal technical training courses, or an associate degree in Electrical or Engineering Technology.
- Familiarity with basic electronics test equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes, signal generators, power supplies, power meters).
- Experience with through‑hole soldering and de‑soldering; surface‑mount soldering preferred.
- Ability to interpret analog and digital circuit schematics and symbols.
- Proficient in basic electronics troubleshooting using standard test equipment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to assemble, test, and terminate RF cables and connectors; experience with network analyzers preferred.
- ESQP training or certifications are desired but not required.
- NACI Clearance – ability to obtain a Public Trust.
- Must possess two forms of unexpired identification. Primary forms include:
- Valid REAL ‑compliant driver’s license or state‑issued .
- U.S. Department of Transportation (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). .

- Permanent Resident Card (Form I‑551).
- U.S. Military or U.S. Military dependent’s with photograph.
