Our Electronic Technician is a member of a multi-functional team providing Technical Support Services for the Federal Aviation Administration Logistic Center (FAALC) at the Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center (MMAC) in Oklahoma City, OK, performing troubleshooting, repair, overhaul, testing, certification, and installation services on designated electronic and mechanical systems.
* Perform troubleshooting, tear-down, repair, refurbishment, overhaul, assembly, testing, and installation services for designated equipment at the request of FAALC Product Divisions or Groups.
* Provide electronics technician services to the various FAALC Group/Product Divisions to help assure that electronic systems, subsystems, and components meet serviceability, reliability, and availability requirements.
* Complete all tasks in accordance with applicable FAA and FAALC standards, orders, technical instructions, and quality procedures. Responsibilities Perform a full range of technical support services on designated equipment, including troubleshooting, repair, overhaul, testing, certification, installation, and performance analysis, in support of FAALC Product Divisions and Groups
* NAVAID antenna and component repair and overhaul.
* Rotary joint and drive motor troubleshooting and repair.
* Circuit board testing and repair (including trace work and eyelet repair).
* Production and repair of electronic cables and wire harnesses.
* Perform equipment performance analyses, information collection, and reporting.
* Perform equipment adjustment, testing, calibration, certification, and modifications.
* Installation and maintenance of NAS Radomes.
* Troubleshoot, repair, and test electronic assemblies, components, cables, wiring harnesses, circuit cards, prototypes, test fixtures, and test beds.
* Assemble cables, wiring harnesses, circuit cards, and electronic assemblies per technical documentation.
* Install electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems, subsystems, components, test fixtures, modifications, and engineering prototypes.
* Utilize Multi-meters, Oscilloscopes, and Network Analyzers; perform through-hole and surface mount soldering.
* Read and follow electronic and RF schematics; assemble and test RF cables and terminate associated RF connectors.
* Perform moderate physical tasks including lifting up to 50 lbs., bending, climbing, crawling, kneeling, reaching overhead, and operating cranes, trucks, tractors, or motor vehicles.
* ESQP training or certifications desired but not required. Qualifications
* Minimum High School diploma/GED with completion of formal technical training courses OR Associate Degree in Electrical or Engineering Technology.
* Familiarity with the purpose and operation of basic electronics test equipment, including but not limited to multi-meters, oscilloscopes, signal generators, AC/DC power supplies, and power meters.
* Experienced in through-hole soldering and de-soldering; surface mount soldering experience preferred.
* Able to identify and interpret basic analog and digital circuit schematics and symbols (e.g., resistor, capacitor, inductor, transistor, IC, etc.).
* Able to perform basic electronics troubleshooting using standard test equipment (e.g., measure voltage, current, resistance; identify opens, shorts, and grounds).
* Mechanical aptitude with strong problem-solving skills.
* Ability to assemble, test, and terminate RF cables and connectors; experience with Network Analyzers is preferred.
* NACI Clearance - ability to obtain Public Trust.
* Must possess TWO forms of unexpired identification to meet eligibility requirements.
* One Primary form of government-issued identification, selected from the following:
