We are currently building world-class institutes for the treatment of diabetes and cancer.
- Utilizes a variety of electric and manual tools to build or repair plumbing systems.
- Assists with installs, repairs, and maintenance of plumbing systems, including pipes, fittings, fixtures, valves, and appliances.
- Diagnoses and troubleshoots plumbing issues and provides effective solutions.
- Collaborates with other team members, contractors, and internal customers to ensure successful project completion.
- Assists with plumbing inspection systems and identifies potential problems or areas that require maintenance.
- Follows safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
- Maintains inventory of parts and supplies.
- Ensures that work is performed in accordance with relevant codes.
- Cleans drains, removes obstructions, and repairs or replaces broken pipes and fixtures including cleaning the job site after the work is completed.
- Maintains records of work assignments.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required
Education:
High School diploma or GED equivalent.
- Basic understanding of mathematical concepts for measurements and calculations.
- Excellent communication skills, high integrity, and a desire for professional growth as a technician within the plumbing industry.
- Ability to follow instructions.
- Excellent time management skills with ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to safely operate tools and work in tight spaces.
- Oklahoma Construction Industries Board Apprentice Plumbing Card within 120 days of employment.
- Valid state issued driver's license.
- Physical:
- Physical ability to use and reach with hands and arms regularly.
- Ability to climb in high places using a ladder or balance.
- Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, bend and crawl.
- Ability to lift up to 45 lbs., stand, sit, crawl, or kneel, sometimes for long periods.
- Environmental:
- May be required to travel across campus or other site for repairs.
- Willingness to work on-call, weekends, holidays, or respond to emergency calls and snow/ice duty.
