Now hiring an Automotive or Diesel Mechanic for our shop serving Oklahoma City Environmental Trust!

Transdev in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma is seeking a to bolster our team. This role demands expertise in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining engines across various vehicles and equipment. All Techs play a crucial role in ensuring safety, efficiency, and longevity for our vehicles.

• Competitive compensation package of minimum $22.00 – Maximum $27.00
• An additional $.10 per hour for each ASE certification you possess or obtain
• An additional $.50 per hour for obtaining your CDL
• An additional $.50 per hour for obtaining your state CNG certification

Benefits Include

• Vacation: minimum of two (2) weeks

• Holidays: 12 days; 8 standard and 4 floating

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance (PMs), safety inspections, and annual maintenance inspections.
• Diagnose and perform all phases of vehicle and equipment repair including brakes, suspensions, engines, drive trains, transmissions, and other repairs.
• Ensure work orders are completed accurately.
• Assist with road calls and emergency services as necessary.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license required.
• At least 3 years of automotive or diesel maintenance & repair employment experience or a combination of technical school education & experience.
• Mechanic’s toolset
• ASE certifications preferred. Must be willing to participate in company ASE certification program (company training, testing, and bonuses provided!
• Subject to DOT drug testing. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including marijuana, for any reason.

Physical Requirements

• The essential functions of this position require the ability to:
• Work outside in varying temperature, weather, and humidity conditions-100% of the job is performed outside, work alone and in remote locations.
• Sit for extended periods (up to 6–8 hours per day); frequently walk for long distances and on possible sloped ground or slippery and uneven surfaces
• Push and pull objects, occasionally throughout the workday; lift material weighing up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance; occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch to files or equipment stored at ground level
• Withstand heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job; tolerate exposure to considerable amounts of dust, vehicle fumes and noise.
