JOB SUMMARY
To lead the retail sales efforts by directly overseeing the operation of multiple retail stores in order to maximize store performance, financial results, and customer and employee satisfaction.
Direct Reports: Store Managers
Indirect Reports: Assistant Store Managers, Retail Shift Leaders and Retail Store Associates.
Essential Job Functions
- Successfully lead and collaborate with assigned retail stores to achieve overall departmental budgets and company goals.
- Ensure compliance of store management with company policies, procedures, and standards.
- Train and motivate store management in the areas of leadership, staffing, profitability, productivity, customer service, safety, and loss prevention.
- Recruit and hire for retail manager vacancies.
- Address performance issues with management staff.
- Ensure financial success of assigned stores.
- Monitor all productivity standards, store inspections, scheduling, and administrative functions.
- Analyze daily & monthly sales reports and review with store management.
- Ensure a high level of excellence in store appearance: visual merchandising, stock levels, housekeeping, and employee dress code.
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness of payroll data, daily reports, monthly reports, safety reports and requested reports from Store Managers.
- Complete training and on-boarding for all new retail store managers.
- Comply with GICO’s policies, rules, and regulations for Loss Prevention.
- Maintain accurate and well-organized records.
- Monitor customer service given by staff.
- Conduct required management meetings.
- Evaluate store performance with managers during weekly store visits, assign priorities for improvement to store managers.
- Review and be familiar with Goodwill of Central Oklahoma safety policies, programs and procedures and adhere to all safety rules, regulations, and safety codes. Attend safety training and meetings and report any unsafe work conditions, accidents, or injuries immediately.
Additional Responsibilities
- Perform other duties and projects as required by management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred. A combination of education and experience may be substituted for required education at 1 year per year of education (with High School diploma or GED).
- 5 years in retail setting preferred.
- 3 years retail management, multi-unit experience preferred.
- Valid Oklahoma Driver’s License and Car Insurance Verification, required.
- Must pass MVR check and maintain a good driving record.
- Must be 21 years old.
- Ability to speak, read and write the English language.
- Reliable transportation and communication, required.
