Experience:
A specific length of training and experience is not required, but you must show evidence of training or experience of sufficient scope and quality to perform the work. Evidence demonstrating knowledge, skills, and ability must be supported by detailed descriptions in your resume. Applicants will be rated under the OPM Federal Wage System Qualification Standards. Experience may include paid or unpaid work, including volunteer service. A full year of work is typically 35-40 hours per week; part-time experience is credited proportionally. If seeking credit for such experience, clearly indicate duties, responsibilities, and hours per week for each position.
- Clean serving areas by sweeping and mopping floors, clean/sanitize work surfaces and equipment (refrigerators, toasters, coffee machines).
- Clean production equipment (steam jacketed kettles, tilt skillets, etc.).
- Apply appropriate and safe sanitation techniques.
- Load and operate dishwashers and cart washing stations.
- Perform preventative maintenance on equipment as needed.
- Transport tray carts to wards and deliver trays to patients or assist with tray transport.
- Set up serving areas with hot and cold foods and keep foods stocked during meals.
- Identify discrepancies between prescribed diets or food allergies and tray tickets.
- Assemble items in cold food preparation and nourishment areas; make cold sandwiches using prepared ingredients.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Full time or Part time (schedule determined upon selection). - Position Description Title/PD#:
Food Service Worker/PD99921-S and PD99921A. Pay includes competitive salary and regular increases; higher steps may be determined based on qualifications.
- Paid Time Off: 13-26 days annual leave, 13 days sick leave, 11 federal holidays per year (total 37-50 days per year).
