Senior Acquisition Agent – Public Transportation (Oklahoma)

We are seeking an experienced Senior Acquisition Agent based in Oklahoma to support public transportation infrastructure projects through the acquisition of right-of-way and related property interests from private landowners.

This position is ideal for a seasoned right-of-way professional with strong landowner negotiation skills and a solid understanding of public-sector acquisition requirements. Some in-state travel is required to meet with landowners and project stakeholders.

• Acquire right-of-way, easements, and temporary construction rights from private landowners
• Conduct in-person meetings with landowners to explain project impacts, acquisition process, and compensation
• Represent public agencies professionally and ethically throughout the acquisition process
• Coordinate with project managers, appraisers, engineers, and legal counsel
• Prepare and maintain acquisition documentation, schedules, and status reports
• Ensure compliance with the Uniform Relocation Assistance and Real Property Acquisition Policies Act (Uniform Act)
• Resolve sensitive landowner issues with professionalism and discretion

• 7+ years of right-of-way acquisition experience, preferably on public transportation projects
• Strong understanding of Oklahoma property ownership and acquisition practices
• Proven negotiation experience with private landowners
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments
• Must reside in Oklahoma

• Periodic in-state travel required to meet with landowners and attend project meetings
• No extensive overnight travel anticipated
