Animal Emergency & Specialty Center of Chattanooga is seeking a Full-Time Overnight Triage Assistant to join our highly skilled Emergency & Specialty team.

This is a Monday-Thursday overnight role (9:00 PM - 7:00 AM) - ideal for candidates who thrive in emergency care, enjoy hands-on learning, and want meaningful impact in every shift.

Key Responsibilities
  • Triage and intake of incoming emergency patients
  • Gathering patient histories and obtaining vitals
  • Safe and effective patient restraint
  • Assisting veterinarians and technicians with diagnostics and treatments
  • Dispensing medications as directed
  • Cleaning, restocking, and maintaining treatment areas
  • Providing compassionate, professional client communication
  • Demonstrating empathy and emotional intelligence during stressful situations
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
  • Veterinary Assistant or Animal Care experience preferred (not required)
  • Strong work ethic and reliability
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to stay calm and focused in high-pressure situations
  • Willingness to learn, grow, and take initiative
  • Passion for emergency medicine and saving lives
