Travel RN - Neonatal ICU

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Neonatal ICU (NICU) position requiring Level IV NICU experience and the ability to float throughout the children's units.

Job Details

• Position is in a Level IV NICU within an academic hospital setting,

• Level I Trauma hospital environment,

• Night shift schedule: 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM,

• Three 12-hour shifts per week (36 hours/week),

• Floating required throughout all children's units,

• 13-week contract,

Job Requirements

• Active OK RN license or current multistate compact RN license required,

• Minimum 1 year of NICU nursing experience required,

• Level IV NICU experience required,

• Level I Trauma hospital experience required,

• Required certifications (AHA only): BLS and NRP,

• Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred,

• Ability to organize, coordinate, and evaluate nursing care,

• Effective verbal and written communication skills,

• Basic computer skills required,

• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible,

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include assuming care for an assigned group of neonatal patients, monitoring physiological data, administering medications, and managing IV infusions and blood products,

• Collaborates with physicians during examinations and minor diagnostic procedures,

• Documents patient responses to nursing interventions and changes in physician orders,

• Educates patients and families on care plans, hospital procedures, and discharge planning,

• Delegates tasks to support staff as appropriate,

• Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have a 6-month separation period before being eligible to apply for a new contract (prior contracts may only be extended once, up to a total of 26 weeks)
