Mar 23, 2026 Length: 13 weeks Openings: 1 Description American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Post Surgical Unit position requiring acute care surgical floor experience, stepdown/PCU experience, and a valid Oklahoma or compact RN license. Details Hospital-based post surgical unit (med/surg setting) Cares for pre- and post-operative patients including those with new drains, wounds, trachs, ostomies, NGT, or DHT Some stepdown-level patients are included in the caseload Patient ratios are 5:1 for surgical patients and 3:1 for stepdown patients ENT and/or transplant patient experience preferred Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours/week) 13-week contract Requirements Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or a current multistate compact RN license (eNLC) Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required;

all certifications must be AHA-issued Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required Acute care surgical floor experience required Stepdown/PCU experience required OR-only candidates will not be considered Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible Additional Information Responsibilities include assuming care for an assigned patient group, monitoring physiological data, administering medications, managing IV infusions and blood products, and delegating tasks to support staff Collaborates with physicians during patient exams and minor diagnostic procedures, and communicates care plans to patients and families Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have a 6-month separation period after 26 weeks of total placement before being eligible for another contract Compliance deadlines are strictly enforced;
