American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric ICU (Stepdown) position requiring a minimum of 1 year of ICU experience and Level I trauma experience, working night shifts in a hospital setting.

Job Details

• Work in a Pediatric ICU Stepdown unit within a hospital setting,

• Patient population includes pediatric patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex,

• Night shift schedule,

• 36 hours per week, three 12-hour shifts,

• Level I trauma center experience required,

Job Requirements

• Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or a current multistate compact RN license (eNLC) required,

• Current BLS and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association required,

• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required,

• Pediatric ICU experience required,

• Level I trauma center experience required,

• Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred,

• Proficiency in professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures,

• Strong verbal and written communication skills,

• Basic computer skills required,

• Full date of birth required for consideration,

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include assuming care for an assigned group of pediatric patients, documenting patient responses to nursing interventions, administering medications, and monitoring physiological data,

• Initiates, regulates, and monitors IV infusions and blood products,

• Assists physicians during patient examinations and minor diagnostic procedures,

• Educates patients and families on care plans and hospital procedures, and makes referrals to appropriate personnel as needed,

• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted,

• Travelers who have previously worked at this facility may only extend once for a total of 26 weeks; a 6-month separation period is required before applying for a subsequent contract,

• Compliance with onboarding requirements (background check, drug screen, medical requirements) must be completed promptly after booking; start dates will not be adjusted for non-compliance
