Travel RN - Pediatric ICU

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Pediatric ICU Stepdown position requiring at least 1 year of ICU experience, Level I trauma experience, and AHA-issued certifications.

Job Details

• Position is in a pediatric stepdown/ICU unit within a hospital setting,

• Day shift schedule, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours/week),

• Level I trauma facility,

Job Requirements

• Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or a current multistate compact (eNLC) RN license required,

• Current BLS and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA) required - AHA-issued certifications only,

• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required,

• ICU experience required,

• Level I trauma experience required,

• Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred,

• Proficiency in professional nursing theory, techniques, and procedures,

• Basic computer skills required,

Additional Information

• Assumes responsibility for an assigned group of patients, documenting responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments,

• Monitors physiological data, administers medications, and manages IV infusions and blood products,

• Assists physicians during patient examinations and minor diagnostic procedures,

• Educates patients and families on care plans, hospital procedures, and discharge instructions,

• Delegates tasks to support staff as appropriate,

• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible - local candidates are not accepted,

• Workers who have previously completed a contract at this facility may only extend once (up to 26 total weeks); a 6-month separation period is required before beginning a new contract thereafter,

• Compliance requirements are strictly enforced - candidates should be prepared to begin onboarding immediately upon offer acceptance
